Lahore: Punjab Safe Cities has activated Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Free Wi-Fi service from 50 to 100 points in Lahore.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Safe City is providing free Wi-Fi service for the convenience of citizens in emergency. Citizens can contact the police and their loved ones through CM Maryam Nawaz free Wi-Fi in any emergency.
Citizens can use Women Safety App, Punjab Police App and WhatsApp from the free Wi-Fi service. In an emergency, you can contact your loved ones through WhatsApp call or message through the free Wi-Fi service.
Each free Wi-Fi device installed across the city has a range of up to 300 feet radius.
According to the spokesperson, this service is only for emergency use through which various applications can be downloaded and can also be used to book a taxi ride.
Spokesperson Safe Cities explained that the free Wi-Fi emergency service is not for video streaming or entertainment, Facebook, YouTube, Tik Tok and other such entertainment apps.
