Regarding the investigation of the wheat import scam, the inquiry committee will submit a report to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif today.
The inquiry committee has completed the investigation of documents and related records on wheat import.
According to the sources, during the investigation, it was revealed that there were insects in the wheat imported in Ramadan and 13 lakh metric tons of wheat was spoiled.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been summoned today by Nawaz Sharif on the wheat scandal. Even though there is enough wheat in the country, investigations are still going on to determine those responsible for the import.
On the other hand, former Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, talking about the wheat import scandal, has said in a recent interview that he will go if called by the Wheat Investigation Committee, there is no swing, no crisis and no corruption in the matter. In the case of wheat import, there is a storm in the tea cup.
