The iCube Qamar will reach lunar orbit today, with the first image received by May 15.

Pakistan’s first ever satellite mission iQB will reach lunar orbit today.

Satellite iCube Qamar to be launched on May 3 will reach the moon today on May 8 between 3:30 and 4:30 PM. The first image of the moon is likely to be received by May 15 or 16.

Sources say that Dr. Khurram Khurshid, a member of the Core Committee Institute of Space, left for China last night, while Dr. Qamar Salam, the project head of “IQBQ” is also already in China.

Verification of all subsystems may take approximately one week before the satellite imaging system becomes operational. In-orbit testing and verification of subsystems will be evaluated.

In this regard, Dr. Khurram Khurshid said in his statement that Pakistan will become the sixth country in the world to go to the moon on the success of the satellite mission. ‘iCube Q’ is associated with the ‘Chang 6’ mission.

Regarding the purpose of sending IQQ into space, he said that with the help of this mission, we will be able to advance in scientific research, technological development and educational projects related to space exploration. Not only this, Pakistan will have its own satellite images of the moon for research.
