Due to the opening of onion export from India and the ongoing wheat crisis in the country, the price of onion and flour in the country started to decrease.
Onions, which were sold at Rs 200 to 250 per kg for several months, started selling at Rs 100 to 120 per kg.
In Lahore, onion is being sold at Rs 80 to 100 per kg, while in Dera Ismail Khan and Swat, one kg onion is being sold at Rs 120 and in Sukkur at Rs 130 per kg.
On the other hand, after the wheat crisis, mill flour in Karachi decreased from Rs.160 per kg to Rs.140 per kg. Two and a half flour of flour mills decreased from Rs.120 per kg to Rs.100 per kg.
In Peshawar, the price of a 20 kg sack of flour has decreased by Rs 800, while rice has been reduced by Rs 50 per kg. In Punjab, the price of 10 kg flour has decreased by Rs 500 to Rs 600, while in Lahore Division, a bag of 10 kg flour is Rs 800. Available at Rs 830 in Faisalabad Division and Rs 850 in Gujarat Division.
