India took over the management of Iran’s Chabahar port for 10 years. According to foreign news agencies, a 10-year agreement on the construction and management of Chabahar port was signed between India and Iran.
The agreement between the two countries was signed in Tehran, the capital of Iran. According to Iranian officials, India will invest 370 million dollars for the Chabahar project.
Through Chabahar Port, India will trade to Iran, Afghanistan and Central Asian countries.
India can reach the Central Asian region through Chabahar port without going through Karachi and Gwadar ports.
