National team captain Babar Azam broke the record of Indian batsman Virat Kohli in T20 international matches.
In the Ireland match in Dublin, captain Babar Azam scored 75 runs off 42 balls and surpassed Virat Kohli by scoring 39 career fifties.
Babar Azam has scored 39 half-centuries and three centuries in T20 matches. Virat Kohli has 38 half-centuries while Rohit Sharma has scored 34 half-centuries in T20. Wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan with 29 half-centuries. They are in the fourth place.
It should be noted that Pakistan won the series 2-1 by defeating Ireland by 6 wickets in the third T20I.
In the third T20 match played in Dublin, Pakistan easily achieved the target of 179 runs given by Ireland for the loss of 4 wickets in 17 overs. Shaheen Afridi was awarded the man of the match for taking three wickets.
