The spokesman of the Pakistan Army said that Major Babar was martyred during an operation in Zhob district of Balochistan on May 14.

According to the spokesman, Major Babar Niazi Shaheed belongs to Mianwali district. He got commission in Punjab Regiment of Pakistan Army in 2012. He was performing duties in FC Balochistan North at that time. He is survived by his widow, a 3-year-old son and his parents.
