New York prepares to host the World Cup, sports stars arrive to catch a glimpse of the stadium

New York’s Nassau County Stadium was inaugurated on June 9 to host the match between traditional rivals Pakistan and India.

ICC inaugurated Nassau Cricket Stadium in New York yesterday, on this occasion athlete Usain Bolt and legendary cricketers arrived at the ground to have a first glimpse of the stadium.

Famous athletes and cricketers who came to the stadium included former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik, England’s Liam Plunkett, West Indies’ Sir Curtly Ambrose, Team USA’s Corey Anderson and Monak Patel.

The sports stars signed bat will be on display at the ground during the tournament.

Stars signed the big cricket bat placed in the ground and expressed their views, on this occasion Shoaib Malik said that it is amazing to build the stadium in just 90 days, the stadium has excellent fan facilities.

It should be noted that New York’s Nassau County Stadium will host 8 World Cup matches including the India-Pakistan match.
