According to Indian media, the song ‘Sun Sananan’ from the 2001 film Ashoka has been used in 5 lakh reels.

The song’s lyrics were composed by musician Anu Malik who says that his daughter showed him the reel on social media and said ‘Papa your song has gone viral’.

Anu Malik said that this project is very close to my heart as it also starred Shah Rukh Khan and it is one of the projects that I worked very hard on.

The renowned composer also said that he had several discussions with film director Santosh Sivan to arrange the lyrics and he also rejected many of my lyrics.

Anu Malik said that Santosh sir was very clear and wanted to compose some kind of music for the film which is very different. Speaking in the context of social media reels and popularity of the song, he said that I feel Like I’m getting my reward (popularity of the song).
