Who are the Pakistanis who came before the existence of Dubai?

Sher Akbar Afridi has been living and working in UAE for 60 years.

According to a report by Khaleej Times, Sher Akbar Afridi’s long journey to the United Arab Emirates started from Karachi in 1964 when he arrived in the UAE on the MV Dwarka ship from Karachi with a ticket of only 102 rupees.

During an interview, Sher Akbar Afridi said that in those days there was no air connectivity between the states and we had to travel by sea which took 3 days, in those days Indian currency was used in the Gulf region.

Sher Akbar Afridi says that my father arranged my visa, I did not even have a passport, when I reached Karachi from my hometown, I applied for a passport at the age of 17.

On reaching Dubai he started trying to find employment and started working in the construction sector, after initial challenges he started working with an engineer and he first earned around 150 rupees which was a huge amount at that time. There was money.

He says that I was involved in the process of laying the first concrete road in the UAE which runs from Baniyas to the old airport and passes through Sheikh Rashid’s palace.

Sher Akbar Afridi has also met many rulers of UAE and has done many other things here, he has 6 sons out of which 3 are working in government departments of UAE.
