Rawalpindi: Australian Chief of Defense Forces General Angus J. Campbell visited Joint Staff Headquarters Rawalpindi.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Australian Chief of Defense Forces General Angus J. Campbell arrived at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi, where he met his counterpart, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza. .
ISPR says General Angus Campbell is in Pakistan for the 13th Pakistan Australia Round of Defense and Security Dialogue, General Angus Campbell will also participate in the 10th round of the 1.5 Track Security Dialogue.
Spokesman Pakistan Army said that during the meeting, defense and security cooperation, regional situation and global security challenges were discussed, while both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthen and expand security and defense cooperation.
ISPR said that the Australian general appreciated the high professional standards of the Pakistani armed forces and the achievements in the war against terrorism and General Angus Campbell also praised the ongoing efforts for regional peace and stability. It is further said that on his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, General Angus J. Campbell was also presented a “Guard of Honour” by the contingents of the three armed forces.
