Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarr also took charge of the National Heritage and Culture Division on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Secretary National Heritage and Culture Division and other officials yesterday welcomed the Federal Minister on his arrival at the Heritage and Culture Division and gave a briefing on the issues.
On this occasion, Atta Tarar said that the responsibility of the National Heritage and Culture Division of Pakistan is an honor and an important challenge for me. The history and culture of Pakistan is extremely diverse.
He said that culture is an important part of our national identity, Pakistan is connected with strong cultural heritage. Through the culture, music and drama of Pakistan, the positive image of the country will be highlighted around the world. The federal minister added that culture and artists will work for the betterment and development of the community.
It should be noted that the cabinet division had issued a notification to hand over the portfolio to Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar on the instructions of the Prime Minister. Atta Tarar will also be the Minister of National Heritage and Culture Division.
