The Punjab government has established Pakistan’s first e-cattle market for the convenience of the public on Eid-ul-Adha.
Citizens can buy animals of their choice sitting at home for sacrifice and the money will have to be paid only after the animal reaches home. The app, developed in collaboration with PITB, will contain animal photos, videos, weight, price and dealer’s contact number.
Chairman Cattle Market and Management Company Ibrahim Tariq says that through the app citizens will now be able to order the animal of their choice sitting at home. This initiative will reduce rush in the markets and save petrol and time.
To avoid fraud, payment should be made only after the animal reaches the buyer’s house and is liked. People have also welcomed the establishment of online cattle market.
