The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) declared the franchise Pakistan Football League scheduled next month as unconstitutional.
The PFF has issued a statement saying that the federation has not sanctioned this event. Under the banner of FIFA and AFC, PFF is the sole body responsible for running football affairs in Pakistan.
The statement said that only the PFF is authorized to decide on all football activities, their times and venues under the rights granted by FIFA.
PFF says that according to the orders issued by the Pakistan Sports Board on September 9, 2014, the government also supports only the federations working under international bodies.
The statement said that holding any event without the approval of the PFF is a violation of Article 82 of the Constitution and will face disciplinary action. The project will be encouraged, subject to prior approval.
