Gas shortage in the country, increased usage of LPG expected, Chairman Ogra informed.

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Masroor Khan says that a huge increase in the use of LPG is expected in Pakistan in the next 5 years.

Speaking at the Oil and Gas Conference, Chairman OGRA Masroor Khan said that the gas tariff of OGRA is determined in a very professional manner.

Chairman Ogra said that the use of white oil pipeline is only 40%, there are 3 thousand tank petrol stations running in the country, measures are needed to eliminate tank petrol pumps.

Masroor Khan said that there is a possibility of a huge increase in the use of LPG in Pakistan in the next 5 years. At present, the share of LPG in the country’s energy mix is ​​1.3 percent, which will exceed 5 percent in the next 5 years.

Chairman OGRA said that there are vast opportunities for investment in LPG storage, transportation and standard cylinders, there is a need to introduce 200 kg commercial cylinders in the country.
