In Karachi, Rangers and customs conduct a raid, smuggled goods confiscated, shopkeepers throw stones.

Rangers and Customs conducted a joint operation by sealing the entrance and exit of the markets around Bolton Market, Jamia Cloth and Lighthouse in Karachi area, the smuggled goods were seized, the customs authorities loaded the goods into trucks and moved them to an unknown location.

A large number of smuggled goods were seized during the search of the shops by Rangers and Customs.

According to the officials, during the operations in Jama Cloth, Light House and Bolton Market, the locks of the shops were broken and the goods were checked, Rangers and Police were also present along with the Customs officials.

During the raid, a large number of shopkeepers gathered and the law enforcement agencies also faced resistance near the lighthouse, Rangers fired in the air to disperse the angry shopkeepers.

According to the police, the angry shopkeepers pelted stones at the officials and also damaged two customs vehicles. The police said that legal action will be taken against the shopkeepers involved in the riot.
