The cost of electricity for the citizens of Karachi has been increased by 9 rupees 98 paise per unit.
Nepra has issued a notification for increasing the price of electricity for K Electric customers, according to which the electricity has been increased for the purpose of monthly fuel adjustment for 9 months.
Additional charges will be made from K Electric customers from June to September.
According to the notification, K-electric consumers will have to pay Rs 2 67 paise per unit extra in June and Rs 3 10 paise per unit extra in July.
K-Electric customers will have to pay an extra Rs 3.22 paise per unit in August and 99 paise per unit extra in September.
According to the notification, this increase will not apply to K Electric’s Lifeline customers. It should be noted that K Electric had applied for October 2023 to March 2024.
