Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz approved Punjab Livestock Card project.
An interest-free loan of up to two and a half lakh rupees can be taken through the card. Loans will be given to 40,000 farmers across Punjab through cards in a month.
The Chief Minister directed to facilitate the acquisition of loans. Maryam Nawaz says that they want to lead the livestock farmers across Punjab on the path of economic independence.
Chief Minister Punjab also directed to prepare a scheme for dairy farming in South Punjab. During the briefing in the meeting, it was told that providing loans to men and women living in the rural areas of South Punjab for dairy farming in easy installments will be reviewed, loans will be given to 40,000 farmers across Punjab through Punjab Livestock Card.
During the briefing, it was said that 400,000 animals will be available for meat export through the Punjab Livestock Card Scheme, farmers will also be provided with free-digging, free-infection services, quality testing facilities for winda and silage.
In the briefing, it was further informed that through the Punjab Livestock Farm, farmers will be given an easy loan of Rs. 270,000 for Winda, Silage and Mineral Mixture. Animal identity traceability system in Punjab will facilitate the maintenance of livestock.
