Sindh Excise Department's decision to make the tax system online

Sindh Excise Department has decided to make the tax system online and connect it to One Link.

According to the details, a high-level meeting of the Excise and Taxation Department was held under the chairmanship of Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. In the meeting, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon was briefed on the progress regarding the preparation of premium number plates.

In the meeting, it was decided to issue 10 premium numbers in the platinum category, 11 in the gold category, and 10 in the silver category. Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon also took detailed information regarding property tax, professional tax and other taxes. .

The senior minister instructed the authorities to complete the property tax, professional tax and other tax targets, while notices were issued to 82 officers of the excise department for not performing well in achieving the target.

He instructed to take other disciplinary actions including suspension of excise employees who are neglecting duty and said that online payment system should be started and linked to One Link as soon as possible to simplify the tax system.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said that affixing official number plates on unregistered and private vehicles is a crime, and legislation will be enacted in this regard to make the crime of affixing fake number plates non-bailable and punishable with at least one year in prison. Legislation will be enacted. Secretary Excise Salim Rajput, DG Excise Aurangzeb Panhour, DG Narcotics Control Usman Ghani Siddiqui and other officers participated in the meeting.
