The first phase of 5G launch in Pakistan has started.
PTA has sought expressions of interest for the services of an international consultant, the international consultant will prepare a report for launching 5G in Pakistan.
PTA has also issued TORs for the services of a consultant, the international consultant will consult with the industry and telecom operators.
The consultant will prepare the mechanism for the release of spectrum as per international standards and determine the cost of spectrum per megahertz in rupees and dollars.
Apart from this, the consultant will also set up an easy payment plan for the spectrum auction, the consultant will give policy recommendations to the PTA for the spectrum auction. In the light of the consultant’s report, the federal government will auction the 5G spectrum.
