Objections over the appeals of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the marriage case

The Islamabad High Court overruled the registrar’s office’s objections to the appeals of founder PTI and Bushra Bibi against the sentence in the Iddat Nikah case.

The court combined both the applications and issued a notice for June. Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb conducted the hearing.

During the hearing, Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb said that what objection has been made to this request? On which lawyer Salman Akram Raja said that an administrative order cannot stop taking judicial relief.

Salman Akram Raja said that the session judge fixed the date of judgment on the appeals against the sentence, on May 23, the session judge asked to pronounce the judgment on May 29. Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb inquired whether the arguments had been completed on May 23. On which the lawyer said that the court reserved its decision after the arguments were completed.

The court inquired whether on May 29, the complainant filed a written no-confidence against the judge. The lawyer said that May did not give anything in writing, the first motion of no confidence was rejected, Judge Shahrukh Arjamand rejected Khawar Manika’s case transfer request.

Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb asked the lawyer whether that order of the Sessions Court was challenged? The lawyer said that no, that order of the sessions court was not challenged.

The court said that when the judge separates himself from the case, is it appropriate to send him again? Has the same request been made in the other petition? Lawyer Salman Safdar said that the request on behalf of Bushra Bibi is slightly different, the appeal in the Sessions Court is not being decided on the request for suspension of sentence, the Islamabad High Court has the authority to issue an order for suspension of sentence.
